Colpus is an armless Full XL futon on a matte black steel frame, with two sofa back positions, a four-step head elevation in bed mode and a compressed foam core mattress for everyday sitting and sleeping.
Danish Design by Per Weiss, Built on Steel
Designed in Denmark by Per Weiss in 2014, Colpus pairs a clean armless profile with a matte black steel frame and wooden slats. It is a flexible piece for living rooms, guest rooms and studios, and you can finish it with matte black steel legs or lacquered oak legs to suit the room.
Two Sofa Positions, Four-Step Head Elevation
By day, Colpus works as a sofa with two back positions. By night, it lies flat into a Full XL bed (55" x 79") long enough for sleepers up to 6'7", with a four-step head elevation for reading or relaxing in bed. The frame is rated for a weight capacity of 730 lbs.
Compressed Foam Core Mattress
The mattress has an all-foam core: 7" of convoluted and flat high-density foam compressed into a 6" profile. Compression keeps the core resilient, so it recovers after each use and holds its shape instead of flattening and hardening over time. The result is a medium-soft feel over firm support, comfortable for both sitting and sleeping.
Removable Cover and Built-In Storage
The linen-like microsuede mattress cover is removable for cleaning and replaceable, so you can change the color of your sofa bed later without replacing the mattress. A bedding storage box is included to keep sheets and pillows close at hand, and a frame cover is available as a custom-order add-on.
